(Real name has been replaced with Elmo to keep anonymity.)Every morning Elmo comes into work on a bike and doesn’t bother to change out of the sweat stained clothes.All settled in at the workstation, Elmo pulls out a personal mini laptop and video mp3 player and places those next to the work computer so that catching up on the previous night’s missed tv shows can begin. Once shows are downloaded, Elmo proceeds to watch them (yes, while at work). But even Elmo needs potty break, so off to restroom is it – with video mp3 player and a pair of earphones in hand, watching that show while walking. Twenty minutes later, or so, you’ll find Elmo, still in the restroom, making hand washing a little more complex since there’s an electronic to worry about, and a show that can’t be put on pause. Not to fret…Elmo gently places the video mp3 player on the sink counter and doesn’t miss a second of that show as eyes are glued to the monitor, while hands are being scrubbed under the running water.
