This past summer I worked as an intern at a power company in Canada. During one of my breaks I went to a friend's desk to chat. His desk was situated in an area for the interns. While chatting, we noticed another intern (a friend of ours who attends the same University) walking in the hall past the cubicles. He stops and says "I didn't know you guys were here." We were forced to ask why he was wandering around. His reason was because he needed to pass gas. The area that he sits in (the interns are sometimes grouped together and placed in a sectioned area where there are no cubicle walls between them. Our friend was sitting in an area with a number of female coworkers. In order to be courteous and to avoid embarrassment he had decided that he needed to pass gas in the hallway.
